Lead Fundraiser- Voluntary

Job Description

About the opportunity

We are looking for a motivational person to coordinate the Devon Disability Collective (DDC) events and fundraising activities, so we can provide more opportunities for Disabled people and those furthest from the labour market in the Devon area.

You will help to raise money within Devon to support the Collective’s work.

We hope that this role will have great impact on the local community by providing DDC the means to continue and expand the support that we can offer to all people present and future through meaningful employment.

What are we looking for?

  • Great ideas
  • Inspire local supporters to raise money for DDC
  • Work with the Marketing Manager and teams at times in the planning of some events
  • Encourage the development and implementation of new fundraising ideas
  • Delegate responsibility for particular activities
  • Maintain relationships with key branch contacts, e.g. local supporters
  • Ensure that all fundraising activities positively raise the profile of the Devon Disability Collective

Skills and attributes

  • Pro-active and entrepreneurial
  • Comfortable delegating and planning
  • Some confidence in working with numbers
  • Enthusiastic, encouraging, motivating and inspiring!

Practical Considerations

A time commitment of approx. 4 hours per month but this could vary or increase at busier times of year.

The volunteer must be able to travel around the local area to attend meetings and the fundraising events organised.

Full support from DDC staff will be given as well as from fellow group volunteers.

Upholsterer – Competetive Salary Exeter

Job Description

About the opportunity

£ Competitive salary dependent on skills and experience within the industry
37 Hours per week Operational hours are between 7am – 6pm, Monday – Friday.  It is expected that  standard working hours are 8am-4pm, but you will need to be prepared to work around this as required.

  1. Domestic & Commercial re-upholstery of furniture using leather, vinyl & fabric
  2. Auto-trimming re-upholstery of classic cars, recreational vehicles, motorbikes
  3. Use of heavy & light sewing machines, compressed air tools
  4. Comfortable with project work, taking on a job from start to finish, unpicking, pattern making, upholstering.
  5. Working accurately to customer requirements from details recorded from initial visit
  6. Ensure communication is frequent between all departments involved with upholstery work.
  7. Ensure quality standards are met, within acceptable output levels required
